It's Amazing

Where did February go? It's been over 90 degrees this week! And the fires! Many in my area, there was one so close to my home recently that had the sun hazed over with smoke and a sprinkling of ash in my backyard! Scary, but it's been contained now, thank God. There's a cold front moving through the area now, it'll be a nice change from the summery weather.

So I have decided upon a name and palette for my kit and have started on it already. Yay! It will be called Dungarees (yes, I seem to be inspired by clothing LOL).

I am planning on posting it Monday. I should have time this weekend while hubbie levels up on World of Warcraft to get some work in on it.

Over 200 downloads of my Pajama Party kit, I cannot express how happy that makes me and how much I love reading all your kind comments. It seems my pajama pants were calling me to design a kit around them, but not much else around here is talking haha. I'm still thinking of a new theme for my next kit. Am hoping (hoping!) to release it Monday. I'm thinking blues and browns right now, something boyish. We'll see how it goes..

Also! I have signed on to Precious Convoy's Spring Time Blog Train. That will be happening March 22nd and I'm pretty excited about it already :) There's a blinkie added to my sidebar if you're interested and I'll talk more about that as it gets closer. And my other blinkie is for the Spirit of Summer charity mega kit to help the victims of the Australian bush fires. For a small donation you get a whopper of a kit. I haven't had a chance to scrap with it yet, but just opening each folder was amazing. It's beautiful and a great value. Plus you're helping out the victims and survivors of those horrible fires. We've had quite a few wildfires in my area lately (one in the next county is still raging now), so I understand the toll it takes.

For now I have been in a country music state of mind for awhile. Today's freebie and tomorrow's are lyrics from the same song, I couldn't decide which piece to use, so I used them both. It's from Billy Dean's If There Hadn't Been You, a fabulous country love song from the early 90's:

I was so excited to see people downloading my kit! I had over 50 downloads on 4shared when I went to bed last night and even more this morning! And I really appreciate all the comments, I'm so glad you guys liked the kit so far! :) I am SO motivated to do another one now, I want to get started immediately!

Pajama Party

OK, so drumroll please... I have finished my first kit :)

It's called Pajama Party because it was completely inspired by a pair of my pajama pants. I made little epoxy pajamas, they are my favorite part. And speaking of epoxy.. I kinda got a little crush on that Atomic Cupcake action in this kit. I promise to go easier on it next go-round :)

So I'm back! I've been beat, I swear that concert took more out of me than I'd expected! Dishes and laundry are piling up and I stay in my robe! LOL!

Isn't She Lovely

Today is the Josh Turner concert (insert high-pitched girly scream here)!!!!
It's in San Antonio, a 4.5 hour drive from my hometown. My youngest sister (who is 8 months preggo!) and I are headed out from here and my other sister is leaving from her home near the DFW area. We'll meet up there and scream in ecstacy at Mr. Turner!! My father-in-law is a very popular local DJ and he got us niiiice tickets. Feeling very blessed today. :)

So I'm offline for the day, but here is today's freebie.

Have I Told You Lately

Ok, ok, I know I promised a freebie that wasn't wordart today.. My bad :)

I've just been swamped lately and wordart is what I have already available. I haven't even had time to do any scrapping for myself lately! And tomorrow my sisters and I are going to a Josh Turner concert, something I am super super excited about, we're big fans. It's a crazy long drive, almost 10 hours round trip drive, but we consider it worth it!! :) :)

Beautiful Dreamer

Hope everyone had a nice V-Day. My favorite 1st grader (my cousin's super-smart daughter - I just adore her) had a birthday party yesterday, she's 7! Blows my mind! And then hubbie took me out to eat, it was a sweet holiday.

She will Fill Our Lives

Well, this worked out perfectly. Today is the final installment of my niece/nephew wordarts, it is for my youngest sister who is expecting a baby girl in April. And today is her baby shower, so it's fitting that this wordart be posted today!

She will name the baby Julia. Julia was our grandmother's name; she passed away when I was young, before my sister was born. I love that name, I think it's beautiful.

The Smiliest Boy

Today is part three of my niece/nephew wordarts. For Jaiden, 15 months old.

So I still have yet to really get my feet wet in the digi-scrap world.. the real world keeps tripping me up. But I sure am good at wordart! And freebies!

I am the eldest child of four. Two younger sisters and one brother. My brother is still in high school, but the two sisters are married and have two kids each (almost! the younger sister is expecting her second). Jacob and Caitlyn are the first set and then the younger sis has Jaiden and is due in April with a baby girl, Julia. I am a proud aunt, so I thought I'd do a short wordart-freebie-series dedicated my siblings' offspring.

Here's crazy Jake's offering today. At three years old he is the oldest nephew and definitely a ball of fire. He's endlessly imaginitive, an aspiring artist, a champion tantrum thrower, and very very sweet little boy.
