The Bridge is Love

I just wanted to say thank you so much to everyone who has commented, emailed, called, prayed, etc. It means more than I can express and every single thought is so appreciated. I was very close with my grandparents and he is the first family member I have lost, so this is quite a blow. We knew his health was poor, but the decline happened so quickly.. and I know you can never be "ready."

I am praising God now that we were all (both children and all four grandchildren) able to see him before the end. He held our hands in the hospital and told us he loved us. I am so blessed to have that moment to hold onto. Many of my family members (including myself) were able to be there with him when he passed and I know it gives us all great comfort to know he was not alone.

For now I am going to take a few days break from blogging. I will be speaking at the funeral and arranging photos for the viewing, as well as dealing with my emotions.. So I will be useless online for a bit.

I know I claimed I would begin taking down freebies this coming Monday, but due to the circumstances, I think it will wait another week until Monday the 20th. At that time I will be taking down the majority my old freebies and will begin the process of selling them in bunches. Freebies will still be posted often, but only left up for a week at a time before being incorporated into bunches. So get to downloading if you haven't already, just hit the FREEBIES link below this post to find them all.

A final freebie before I break.
In loving memory of my grandfather,
Judge Charles Weldon Kirk, June 1925 - July 2009.
He will be so missed.

  3. Beautiful post and beautiful word art. Make sure you take as much time as you need. Time does soften it a little, although it will never go away completely. Really try to take in the moments with your family, as that is what is so important right now, and always.
